A teenager was taken to hospital following a cliffside fall near Heysham village.
The 18-year-old man suffered a dislocated knee in the fall near St Peter's Church.
A specialist rope team of firefighters rescued him from the rocky cliff and brought him onto the Morecambe RNLI hovercraft following a call-out at around 3.30pm on Sunday.
A Morecambe RNLI spokesperson said it was unknown whether the man had fallen from the top of the cliff itself or fallen down the rocks.
Martyn Browitt, Deputy Launching Authority from Morecambe RNLI, said: “This was an excellent demonstration of multi-agency work.
"Thankfully, using all resources available, the casualty was able to be taken from the rocky cliff side into the hovercraft.
"This was a very hot day and would like to thank all team involved in the rescue.
"We would also like to wish the casualty a very speedy recovery.”
