Fire crews were called out to rescue an animal trapped in mud on land near to the Bay Gateway.
They were called just before 9:20am on Saturday to the incident.
Two fire engines from Lancaster and Morecambe attended the rescue and released one foal which was stuck in mud and water using animal rescue equipment.
Crews were in attendance for approximately two hours.
