Crews have tackled a garage fire in Halton which had ruptured the main gas supply.
Three fire engines from Lancaster, Morecambe and Carnforth were called to the incident on High Road, Halton, at 6.15pm on Monday.
A Carnforth Fire Station spokesperson said: "We were called out at 6:14pm yesterday evening to a AFA (automatic fire alarm) in the Morecambe area.
"Just as we left the station we were fire flashed to a higher priority job where an assistance message was to make pumps 3 at an incident in Halton.
"We joined Morecambe Fire Station and Lancaster Fire Station dealing with a garage fire that had spread slightly to the adjacent property and also into the second garage attached to the house involved.
"The fire had ruptured the main gas supply. The gas vapours were kept burning until Cadent Gas came and isolated the gas. We could then fully extinguish the fire, pull away and dampen down any further hot spots.
"We returned back to station at 11pm."
