Flood defence boards are being deployed along Morecambe promenade to combat the forecast bad weather in the coming days.
The flood boards are being placed along Morecambe promenade today (Friday) as a precautionary measure in anticipation of expected high tides (Saturday – Thursday).
Strong onshore winds are also forecast.
The bespoke boards perfectly fit each of the pedestrian entrances to the promenade and prevent any water, sand and shingle from spilling over onto the road.
