Four fire engines called to derelict building blaze in Lancaster

Crews were called out to a fire in a derelict building on Quernmore Road in Lancaster.

The call-out came at 3.15pm on Tuesday August 20.

Four fire engines from Fulwood, Preesall, Morecambe, and Bolton-le-Sands went to the scene.

"Firefighters used two breathing apparatus, one hose reel jet, a ceiling hook, and a triple extension ladder, and were detained for one hour and ten minutes," said a Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson.
