Heysham Power Stations have announced the dates of their routine site alarm tests over Christmas.
They will take place over the next two Thursdays at Heysham 1 and Heysham 2 at 10am and 11am, as usual.
This means that the scheduled tests will fall on Christmas Day (Thursday December 25) and New Year's Day (Thursday January 1).
"We would like to reassure members of the public that if you hear the alarms at these times, there is no cause for concern," said a spokesperson for EDF, owners of Heysham Power Stations.
"From all of us at the Heysham Power Stations, we wish our community a safe and happy festive break."
