A hotel manager from Morecambe is preparing for a 15,000ft sky dive to raise money for the charity that helped him when he lost his sight.
Nigel Walker is about to jump out of a plane to raise funds for Galloway's Society for the Blind.
Nigel, who works at the Auckland Hotel in Morecambe, will take part in the sky dive with the Black Knights Skydiving Centre team in Cockerham on August 7.
In 2018 he sustained a bad head injury which caused him to lose the majority of his eyesight.
Nigel has also been a foster carer for around 17 years. Including respite placements, he and his wife have supported about 50 children.
He achieved national recognition for his outstanding contribution to foster care as he carried on fostering after the injury.
A Justgiving page has been set up, which has raised more than £2500 at time of writing.
The page can be found HERE.

A post on the Auckland Hotel Facebook page said: "Help our very own Nigel raise money for an amazing cause!
"In 2018 Nigel sustained a bad head injury which caused him to lose the majority of his eyesight. With the help from Galloways he has been able to adjust to his new way of life.
"On the 7th August he will be jumping out of a plane from 15,000 feet with the Black Knights. He is doing this brave act to help raise much needed funds for Galloways Society for the Blind."
