Train services through North Lancashire are severely affected today due to strike action.
Members of the train drivers union Aslef walk out today, and also strike again on Saturday, while on Friday, a different group of rail workers are walking out - guards and station staff who belong to the RMT union.
Northern
There are no Northern Services on 31 May and 3 June.
There are limited Northern services 2 June.
There will be no rail replacement buses on strike days for Northern services.
Some Northern stations may be closed or have reduced hours due to limited staffing and services.
Advanced tickets have been withdrawn from sale for strike days.
Disruption is also expected on 1 June, Check with other train operators before travelling.
Avanti West Coast
Please do not attempt to travel on Avanti West Coast on 31 May and 3 June as they will not be running any services on our routes.
On Friday 2 June, customers should expect timetables and operating hours to be reduced significantly, and note that services that do run are expected to be busy. It is strongly advised you to check before you travel.
With each strike day, late services the night before and early services the next day will also be affected. They recommend you check your entire journey before you travel, especially your first and last trains.
Customers who booked tickets to travel on these strike days before the industrial action was announced can claim a full, fee-free refund from their point of purchase. Alternatively, customers with pre-booked tickets for strike days can use these on alternative travel dates. Find out more below.

TransPennine Express
There will be no services on the TransPennine Express network today (May 31).
Thursday June 1 - TransPennine Express will operate a normal service but some services will be altered in the morning and evening.
Friday June 2 - TransPennine Express is planning to operate services on the following routes:
Manchester Piccadilly to York, Preston to Manchester Airport, Sheffield to Cleethorpes
Saturday June 3 - There will be NO SERVICES on the TransPennine Express network on this date.
