A police inspector has appealed for information after vandals caused damage to two of our best-loved local parks.
Det Insp Adie Knowles said there had been a spate of recent issues at Happy Mount Park in Morecambe and Williamson Park in Lancaster.
Det Insp Knowles was speaking on Beyond the Beat on Beyond Radio on Tuesday.
He said the incidents reported to police were as follows:
Happy Mount Park
May 4/5 between 6pm on 4th and the early hours of 5th - Damage to a bench and bird table, guttering removed from building in the Splash Park area. Total damage caused around £700.
May 5 - Youths seen setting fires in the woodland area near the park.
April 15, 11.40pm - Vehicle travelling at high speed at back of park.
"If anyone sees anything, or people scaling the fence late at night, then please ring it in," said Det Insp Knowles.

"People shoudn't be in there when the gates are closed.
"There are dedicated anti-social behaviour patrols who will go and deal with it."
Williamson Park
April 26 12.30pm - Damage to bird hide which was demolished
April 26 6pm - Fire in the park, near the pond area.
