Beyond Radio has been speaking to Ben McCabe from More Music about plans for this year's Catch the Wind kite festival and everything else going on at Morecambe's hub of community music making.
This year the kite festival takes place on Saturday July 9 and Sunday July 10, on the beaches either side of the Midland hotel, from noon to 5pm.
'Catch the Wind' is a family friendly event where you can fly your own kite on the beach or watch spectacular kite displays and enjoy a free programme of music, promenading performers, street bands, environmentally themed arts and craft workshops.

This will be the first kite festival since 2019, following an enforced absence due to the Covid pandemic.
More Music has been running at its Devonshire Road base in the West End of Morecambe since 1993 and next year celebrates its 30th anniversary.
Ben has worked at More Music for 23 years. He is the project manager for the kite festival and also runs the popular Baybeat street band.
In Part 1 of our interview, Ben talks about plans for this year's Catch the Wind kite festival and Baybeat
In Part 2, Ben talks about the workshops, classes, projects and gigs at More Music
