A couple with a wealth of experience of the licensed trade and a sporting background have taken charge at a Morecambe sports and social club.
Paul Hughes is the new steward of the Trimpell Club and will run the Out Moss Lane venue with his wife Bev.
The couple previously ran the Boar's Head pub in Lancaster for the past three-and-a-half years.
Paul also managed the Crown Hotel, and worked at the Royal Hotel and the Victoria Hotel in Morecambe during the 1990s, and played football for Morecambe FC when they were in the Northern Premier League.
Bev is a former swimming teacher and is returning to the Trimpell having worked behind the bar there in her 20s.
