A journalist and podcaster will embark on a 120-mile six-day cycle along the coast of Morecambe Bay while gathering the stories of its people.
Nigel Thompson's storytelling bike ride is part of the 'Ways Around the Bay' programme to promote walking and cycling in the Bay area.
The art project has been described as a "creative exploration of the coastline of Morecambe Bay".
Long-time newspaper and radio journalist Nigel, who hosts the popular Morecambe Bay Podcast which has 12,000 subscribers, has been commissioned to uncover the everyday stories of the residents of the Bay.
The idea of collecting the stories is to encourage more people to walk and cycle around Morecambe Bay and to find out what people want for the future of the Bay.
Lead artist Ali Pretty and other supporters and local people will also set off from Fleetwood on a week-long 120 mile walking trip to Walney Island - called 'Beach of Dreams'.
They will head out on the Knott End ferry, then to Pilling, Glasson Dock, Lancaster, Overton, Sunderland Point, Heysham, Morecambe, Hest Bank, Storth, Arnside, Silverdale, Levens, Cark, Ulverston, Barrow and finish in Walney.
Photos and stories will appear on Morecambe Bay Partnership social media (@_mbay on Twitter and @beach.of.dreams on Instagram).
The 'Gathering Walks' begin on Saturday June 3 and run until June 8.

Nigel, who is a former Beyond Radio presenter, said: "I know that 120 miles or walking and talking and taking pictures and social media is hard work, so I'm cycling!
"My plan is to start with the team in Fleetwood, and you will see pictures (on social media) as the walk progresses.
"It's not hard to enthuse about a place as fantastic as Morecambe Bay because it's diverse and it's changing."
Michelle said: "Ways Around the Bay is a whole new initiative to champion cycling and walking in Morecambe Bay and there are loads of different programmes going on.
"Things like setting up an e bikes network, we're getting new tramper hire points - off road mobility scooters to help people who can't walk far - and also to get tourism businesses to welcome cyclists and walkers.
"You'll be able to take part in a great creative exploration of Morecambe Bay and we want people to sign up, come walking with us, ditch the car, tell us their story and what they think the future of our coastline might mean."

You don't have to do the entire 120 mile route, although some people will be!
Michelle said: "We want people to book onto a mile, own that mile, take a photograph of something on that mile that interests them, and anyone can take part. There are sections on Promenades, flat areas. They can also sign up to do the whole lot if they want to."

'Ways around the Bay' will culminate in a display of 120 silk flags, one for each mile, on Morecambe seafront over the August Bank Holiday Weekend. These will be created by Ali and local volunteers over the summer.

Booking is essential for the walks and workshops.
Morecambe Bay Partnership is a charity set up to celebrate the wonders of the bay and runs programmes to encourage tourists and locals to explore the area.
Morecambe Bay Partnership have funding for the Ways Around The Bay programme (through a grant from the Department of Levelling up) and are running it in partnership with Kinetika and Rosa Productions.
