Three friends - including a former Masterchef TV show contestant - have taken over a village pub near Lancaster.
Ben Vandenbrink, Dan Barry and Darren 'Chaz' Chaisty are the new team in charge at The Ship at Caton.
Ben appeared on the popular BBC show Masterchef: The Professionals in 2018, competing against other top chefs.
His career as a professional chef began around 20 years ago and he will be bringing his top class culinary skills to The Ship.
"We're trying to give it a new lease of life, we want to really bring back the village pub," he said.
"I took a two-year career break where I met these two lovely gentlemen.
"One day they turned around and said 'right, how about we go and get a pub'!"
Dan and Chaz also run a consultancy firm in Heysham called North Star Projects.
The Ship will reopen on Tuesday July 25 and a grand launch party will be held on Friday July 28.
