Animal lovers raised hundreds in double-quick time through a Lancaster charity's online campaign to help a cat with a huge growth on his neck.
Animal Care asked the public for £300 to help Sid have surgery, and hit the target in just 20 minutes, raising more than £800 in total.
The animal rescue charity, based on Blea Tarn Road in Scotforth, posted on its Facebook page on Wednesday to ask for help, after two-year-old Sid - a stray - was handed in to Bay Vets in Lancaster.
"Can you help us save Sid.
"Sid was handed in to Bay Vets with a huge growth on his neck.
"He is a lovely friendly boy and deserves to be out of pain and given the chance to find a new home.
"We need to raise £300 to give Sid the surgery he needs."

A Paypal campaign by Animal Care Lancaster & Morecambe District then quickly raised £834 and later in the day, Animal Care posted:
"Because of all the lovely people who donated to Sid he has now had his operation and is in recovery.
"He looks so much better.
"Sid says thank you everyone."

There were many posts on the Animal Care Facebook page with messages of support for Sid.
Diane posted: "Doesn't he look better! So happy for him."
Nik Ann posted: "I'm emotional at this because he's so beautiful. I'm so glad he's feeling better."
And Lesley posted: "He looks better already. Speedy recovery Sid."
Abi Sadler, animal manager at Animal Care, told Beyond Radio they regularly run appeals to help animals, and they'd hit the fundraising target for Sid in one of the fastest times ever.
"Our supporters are always fantastic, they are just amazing," said Abi.
Sid is now recovering after his operation to remove what Abi said is believed to have been a polyp or cyst.
"He was scratching and rubbing it so it was really bothering him, but thankfully was nothing serious," she said.
"Once the vets give him the all clear then we will advertise to find him a new home.
"I don't think we will have too much trouble finding one as he's such a friendly cat!"
