A Lancaster city centre coffee shop has closed its doors permanently.
Esquires Coffee on Cheapside has closed and management announced it would not be reopening.
"It is with great sadness that I find myself writing this," said a statement on the Esquires Facebook page earlier this week.
"As of 3pm today, Esquires Coffee, Lancaster has ceased trading and our doors closed for the very last time.
"I would like to take this opportunity to say thank you to each and every one of our customers.
"It's been an absolute pleasure.
"We will miss you all.
"We will be in store for the next couple of days boxing up, so if we don't get the opportunity to say it to you, from myself and the team, thank you and goodbye, Jenny."
Customers of Esquires posted messages of support, well-wishes and sadness at the news.
One customer said he was "devastated" and "gutted" at the closure, while another said Esquires was the "first place where me and my partner went".
