The Lancaster Grand is looking for new trustees and a new chair to play vital roles in the running of the UK's third oldest working theatre.
A coffee morning will be held at the theatre on Saturday July 12 from 9.30am where prospective trustees and chairs can see the amazing theatre, meet existing members of the board and the wider theatre team for a chat.
The Grand is seeking new trustees to take up trusteeship from September 2025 and a new chair to take over progressively from the existing post-holder, Mark Hutton, during 2026.
The volunteer-led charity, Lancaster Footlights & Grand Theatre CIO, is inviting people from all walks of life to consider bringing their passion, skills and experience to help guide the future of the iconic venue.
"Joining our board means playing a vital role in the ongoing story of Lancaster Grand Theatre - a venue that brings joy to thousands of people every year," said Mr Hutton.
"We are looking for trustees and a future chair who reflect the diversity of our community and bring fresh perspectives, skills and ideas to the team."
Lancaster Footlights & Grand Theatre CIO is a volunteer-led charity responsible for the operation of the 460-seat Grade II-listed venue, staging over 250 events each year and hosting an active community of more than 200 members, volunteers and staff.
To register for the coffee morning, email: mark.hutton@lancastergrand.co.uk
The closing date for trustee applications will be noon on August 15.
Anyone wanting to apply will be asked to submit a Charity Commission declaration form confirming they are not barred from standing as a trustee, together with a summary of the skills and experience you bring (up to 500 words).
If you cannot attend the coffee morning but are interested in the roles, please email: mark.hutton@lancastergrand.co.uk to request application details.
