A Lancaster pensioner has spoken of his anger after his disability vehicle was vandalised twice within a few weeks.
The man, who is in his 70s and has asked not to be named, is the owner of a wheelchair accessible vehicle, and says he feels victimised after what he describes as ‘personal attacks’, as no other vehicles parked nearby were damaged on either occasion.
He told Beyond Radio that he now has no option but to get rid of the vehicle after it was vandalised for the second time in three weeks and he can't face dealing with the stress caused by possibility of it happening again.
The first incident was overnight on May 4, whilst the vehicle was parked at the junction of Willow Lane and Ashbrook Street in Lancaster, when the windscreen was smashed leaving the vehicle undriveable.
Damage was discovered again on the morning of May 24, when the vehicle was parked in the same place and the owner said that they knew straight away that the damage was deliberate as the windscreen was smashed once again.

Speaking exclusively to Beyond Radio, the owner of the silver Renault Kangoo said: "I don't really understand why this has happened to my vehicle, perhaps it's a personal attack against me by someone who has a grievance, but I can't imagine what that might be.
‘’If that's the case I wish they had come and spoken to me rather than just damage my car which I rely on.
‘’When I saw the damage that first time, I thought it might have been an accident, perhaps a stone had flown up from a vehicle travelling along Willow Lane after the recent road works there.
‘’I thought it was just one of those things and organised to get the windscreen replaced.
"But this is clearly mindless vandalism, which has caused great inconvenience and financial loss, and has left me feeling vulnerable.
‘’I can't face keeping that vehicle and dealing with the hassle of replacing the windscreen and the cost because it might happen again, so I shall have to use the bus in future."
