Lancaster’s Buccelli’s has been named the most authentic Italian restaurant in the UK.
Buccelli’s chef, Jake Brindley, was also crowned Best Italian Chef, at the industry Italian Awards 2022.
Owner Bruno Buccelli, who is originally from Rome, told Beyond Radio that they were up against restaurants in big cities including Manchester, Birmingham and London.
The venue was also highly recommended in the category of Best Deli and Café at the prestigious ceremony.
Bruno Buccelli told Beyond Radio: ‘’We are proud to announce we are the winners of two of the biggest awards in the hospitality industry for Italian restaurants.
‘’The results we have achieved this year were above any expectations and we are overwhelmed for it!
‘’I would like to thank my wife Nicola, my kids Mia, Isabella and Luca and the rest of my family who are my first supporters all the time. My fantastic team Ben, Bonnie, Lizzy, Esther, Eva and Sophie, Chef Theo and last but not least, the best Italian Chef Jake Brindley.

Buccelli’s was established in 2016 and is based in Church Street in Lancaster city centre.
