Trains between Lancaster and Barrow will run again after it was announced that the line will reopen following a derailment.
Operators Northern said the line should be in service again on Monday for the first time in more than a month, following repairs.
"Following extensive works by multiple teams within the industry we plan to reopen the line on Monday," said a Northern spokesperson.
"Works are almost complete in repairing the railway and we'll be running some test trains over the weekend to make sure the line is ready for Monday morning.
"Thanks for everyone's patience and all those who have worked around the clock to get things ready for opening on Monday."
Four passengers and four staff from train operators Northern were on board and were safely escorted from the train after it came off the tracks near Grange-over-Sands at around 6am on March 22.
Rail replacement bus services have been running between Lancaster and Barrow in both directions over the past month.
Network Rail engineers have successfully repaired an embankment as part of a complex operation to recover the railway.
On Thursday, Network Rail said the next step is to re-lay the ballast (railway stones) and track.
The work is on schedule to be completed next week.
A void in the ground was found around 150m away from the train.
A specialist crane was brought in to rerail and remove the train from the site of the derailment.
