Lancaster University has hosted its winter graduation ceremonies and awarded honorary degrees.
Graduates celebrated at the university's Great Hall last week and here are photos of some of them, courtesy of the Lancaster University Facebook page.



Paula Hillman, who received a Master's degree in creative writing, celebrated with her daughter Rosie, who was also with her when she graduated from Lancaster University the first time in 1987.

Four people distinguished in their field were also awarded an honorary degree at the University’s postgraduate graduation ceremonies.
They are Andy Rubin, Vivien A.F. Bickham MBE and Baroness Catherine Ashton , who received an Honorary Doctor of Laws, and Robert Rimmer, who received an Honorary Doctor of Science.
Dr Rimmer is pictured below (centre) with Professor Graeme Burt and Alan Milburn, chancellor of the university.

Two Lancaster University graduates, Dr Graham Ryan and Dr Mark Ritson, also received Alumni Awards in recognition of their outstanding achievements.
