Lancaster University has maintained its place as 11th in the latest national league table from the Guardian newspaper.
Lancaster has once again took the top spot in the table for institutions in the North West of England, in the publications University Guide 2025, including sixteen subject areas at Lancaster being ranked in the top 10 in the UK in the Guardian University Guide 2025, with four in the top five.
The publication has also labelled Lancaster University has been labelled “one to watch” in a special feature, celebrating three “rising stars” of this year’s guide. Lancaster has been recognised for its graduate outcomes and for the support it gives to students, as well as its consistently high placing for more than a decade.
Vice-Chancellor Professor Andy Schofield said: “We are delighted to have been recognised once again among the best in the UK, and to have remained the top university in the North West.
‘’We have again performed particularly well in the ‘satisfied with teaching’ and ‘continuation’ categories, which is testament to the quality of student experience here, and to the support we provide for students to transition into the next stages of their degree.
“We are very proud that the Guardian chose to highlight the value of a Lancaster degree in their reporting.”
