A new youth musical theatre group has been formed in the Lancaster and Morecambe area led by a team with a wealth of experience.
Red Rose Rising is for young people aged 12 to 21 who love to sing, dance and act.
Linked to the well established Red Rose Operatics, Red Rose Rising is led by a team including musical director Leigh Rhianon Coggins, choreographer Georgina Jackson and director Victoria Muir.
The group is looking for passionate young performers to join their first ever show, 'Into the Woods Jnr'.
"At Red Rose Rising, our production team brings together a dynamic mix of professional talent and passionate amateurs, all united by a shared love of theatre and a commitment to inspiring the next generation of performers," said a Red Rose Rising spokesperson.
"With backgrounds ranging from West End stages and national tours to community theatre and youth arts, our directors, choreographers, musical directors, and backstage crew offer a wealth of experience.
"This unique blend of professional insight and grassroots enthusiasm creates a supportive, high-quality environment where young performers can thrive — both artistically and personally.
"Whether mentoring first-time performers or staging full-scale musicals, our team is dedicated to delivering exciting, engaging, and empowering theatre experiences for every young person involved."
A welcome evening will be held at Creations Dance School at 101-102 Marine Road West, Morecambe, on Friday October 10 at 7pm, with rehearsals due to start next month.
