A local 4 year old girl Olive has managed to capture local hearts with an online pledge of support for children who are less fortunate. Olive is just 4 years old and goes to Christ Church Primary School in Lancaster.
Jessica Birkby, Olive’s mother tells us:
“After tea on Thursday, she said she started to talk about children who are less fortunate than her and asking whether they get treats like chocolate and yoghurts.”
“She said she wanted to give some of her treat food to boys and girls who’s parents might not always be able to buy these items. I told her we could make up some goody bags and take to the local food bank in Morecambe or Lancaster.”
“I posted a little video on my Instagram on Thursday evening, thinking that one or two friends may want to add a few extra pounds to make some really lovely bags. In 3 days, we have raised over £1000 and received numerous food donations and I have had to start a GoFundMe page to keep track of our donations!”
“Olive has always had a beautiful, kind heart and spreads love and joy everywhere and to everyone.”
Olive is just 4 years old and goes to Christ Church Primary School in Lancaster. She has been in her weekly school newsletter and the school have wanted to get involved in collecting food donations.
