Man arrested after report of threats to children in Morecambe pleads not guilty

A man arrested after police had reports of threats to children in a Morecambe park has pleaded not guilty.

Boniface Kutara, 41, from Morecambe, appeared before Lancaster Magistrates Court on Thursday.

He is charged with using threatening/abusive/insulting words/behaviour causing intentional harassment/alarm/distress.

A trial has been set for January 30 2025 at Burnley Magistrates Court and the defendant was given conditional bail until then.

Police officers were called to Burdock Walk in the Westgate area of Morecambe at around 4.44pm on Monday to reports of suspicious circumstances in a park, and that a man was making threats to children.
