
A man will appear in court after being charged with offences including a burglary in Morecambe earlier this month.
Tony Doherty was arrested on Sunday, October 12, following reports of the burglary of a dwelling and theft which occurred on Friday, October 10.
The following day, the 38-year-old from Baycliffe Crescent in Morecambe was charged with two counts of fraud by false representation, one count of burglary and theft and one count of attempted theft from a motor vehicle.
He was remanded in custody and will appear before Preston Crown Court on November 11.
The arrest and charge is part of Operation Defender, a force-wide campaign that aims to combat residential burglary with support from Lancashire's Police and Crime Commissioner Clive Grunshaw.
