Man injured in Skerton Bridge collision

A man was treated in hospital after he was in collision with a car on Skerton Bridge.

Police were called at approximately 5.07pm yesterday to reports of a collision between a car and pedestrian on Skerton Bridge.

The pedestrian, a 50-year-old man, was taken to Royal Lancaster Hospital with minor injuries and released after treatment.

The incident caused significant travel disruption, blocking access to both Lune St and the Morecambe Road approach to Owen Road.
