Man who evaded arrest for two years caught at Lancaster station

A man who was wanted by police on allegations of serious assault was finally caught at Lancaster station after two years evading arrest.

British Transport Police were called out to Lancaster over the weekend to reports of a disturbance at the station.

A male was arrested for being drunk and disorderly and given a Fixed Penalty Notice.

However enquiries found that the man had evaded police for two years, with warrants for his arrest for serious assaults in Scotland.

The man will now appear in court at a later date.
