An episode of the popular 'Great Coastal Railway Journeys' programme hosted by Michael Portillo in Morecambe is set to air on TV.
The episode will air on BBC2 for the first time on Wednesday, May 24 at 6.30pm.
The documentary series sees the former politician travel by train around the UK visiting different areas of the coast.
While in Morecambe, Portillo met up with local shrimp fisherman Ray Edmondson, who has run a fishmonger's on Yorkshire Street in the town for more than 40 years.
During a walk on the Promenade, Ray spoke to the former Minister of State for Transport about fishing in the Bay and catching the famous Morecambe Bay potted shrimps.
Michael also visited the shop and had a go at peeling shrimps, under the expert supervision of Ray and his wife Pat (see below, image from the BBC).

Portillo filmed the episode in 2021, and also visited the Eric Morecambe statue, Arnside, Levens Hall and Cartmel Priory, en route to Grange-over-Sands.
The programme is available now on BBC iPlayer.
'Great Coastal Railway Journeys' is not the first time the Edmondsons have been on television. Earlier this month they were visited again by TV chef Rick Stein for an upcoming programme, more than 20 years after he last filmed at the shop.
