An artist from Morecambe is set to exhibit his work at the 'Olympics of the art world' in Venice for the second time.
Daniel Ibbotson received a personal invitation to exhibit again this year at the Venice Biennale, alongside artists including Yoko Ono.
Daniel, who now lives in Carlisle, previously exhibited at the event in 2022.
His work was spotted at the Manchester Art Fair in 2019 and one year later he received an email from the European Cultural Centre in Venice inviting him to exhibit.
This year he decided to share the incredible opportunity with 39 other artists who were chosen to produce a 50cm sq piece of work based on the theme 'Foreigners Everywhere'.
Forty pieces of work will go on display in a huge gallery in Venice overlooking the Grand Canal and Rialto Bridge.
Held every two years, the Venice Biennale is the most important event on the art calendar, drawing in around 25,000 artists, curators, critics and gallerists from all over the globe.
The eight-month long 60th international art event officially begins on Saturday April 20 (pre-opening on April 17, 18 and 19).
