A professional boxer from Morecambe is looking to get back to winning ways this Saturday (July 16).
Owen Kirk will compete in his fourth professional contest this Saturday in Bolton.
The 23-year-old middleweight (2-0-1) is coming off a close and controversial loss in his last fight, when he was outpointed by Jake Bray in Blackpool in April.
The man known as 'The Captain' has been training hard with Bob Howard at the Coastal Amateur Boxing Club in Morecambe to prepare for this Saturday's clash with Josh Cook.
"I'm feeling absolutely fantastic," said Owen.
"I've made a few changes since the last training camp, Bob is helping out, and I'm coming on leaps and bounds, and I'm going to put that silly decision behind me.
"Hopefully if I come through Saturday, and I'm confident I will do, the rematch (with Bray) will be on for September."
The fight will be held at the Premier Suite, Bolton Whites Hotel in Bolton.
Doors open at 6.45pm, first bell is 7.15pm. For tickets call 01942 874241 or contact the boxers.
