Morecambe Football Club has been given national recognition at the annual Stadium Events & Hospitality Awards.
The Shrimps came out on top in the Matchday Hospitality Award - Small Stadium (up to 1,000 hospitality guests in total) category, beating competition from Saracens Rugby Club and Stockport County FC.
The club also won the award in 2023.
This award is judged on the entire matchday experience, including efficiency in pre-match, professionalism and customer service on the day with the main focus being on the full catering and service experience.
It isn't the first time Morecambe’s hospitality has been recognised; they were also recognised in 2022 and 2019 respectively, picking up bronze in the same category, with Jodie Assitt, Head of Events, Bars & Catering, claiming the Outstanding Contribution Award two years ago.
Assitt, who heads up a multiple award-winning department, said she couldn't be happier for her team to be recognised.
"First and foremost, I’d like to thank everyone in our team and at the Club for their hard work," she said.
"It really is a team effort and without each other, we wouldn’t have won the award.
“When you compare our first win back in 2019 to now, where we’ve won the top award in consecutive years, it really illustrates how hard we’ve all worked to make our hospitality offerings an unforgettable experience for customers.
“To be recognised and awarded is a true honour, and it motivates us to kick on even further throughout next season and beyond.”
