A musician who travelled the world with popular band The Heartbreaks is celebrating the opening of his new barber shop and the release of new solo music.
Ryan Wallace has opened Fellas' Barbershop on Marine Road and is looking forward to his new hairdressing venture.
Fellas is Ryan's own business after he previously worked at Colin Brown Gents Hairdressers and The Temperance Club barber shop in Morecambe.
"I love this location, it's been ace being here, I live on the Promenade and now I work on the Promenade as well, and it's home to me," said Ryan.
"We're going to have a bar in the corner, local art on the walls, and I want to build a team and a community here."
The talented guitarist and singer from Morecambe is also about to release a new solo EP called 'Shore Thing'.
The five-track EP of his own material has been produced by Joe Kondras, his friend and former bandmate in The Heartbreaks, and is out on June 17.

This year marks a decade since The Heartbreaks released their acclaimed debut album 'Funtimes', featuring some of their most popular tracks including 'Liar, My Dear', 'Delay, Delay' and 'I Didn't Think it Would Hurt to Think of You'.
The band - Ryan, Joe, Matthew Whitehouse and Chris 'Deaks' Deakin - built a loyal following with gigs locally and then travelled the UK and the world, proud to represent their home town of Morecambe wherever they went.
Their notable career achievements included supporting Morrissey on a European tour, releasing a record with Edwyn Collins, scoring a number one radio airplay hit in Japan, and starring in their own 'Introducing...' TV show on Channel 4.
The Heartbreaks released their second album in 2014 and although the quartet never officially split up and remain great friends, they haven't released any new music since - returning for one sole comeback gig at More Music in Morecambe in 2018.
Does Ryan think the band might perform again?
"It's easy for me, because I live here!" said Ryan.
"I'd do it at the drop of a hat. But you can't keep doing it over and over, it's got to be special occasions really. We're all spread about a bit now.
"Matt's flying very high in London (as editor of The Face magazine), Joe's in Margate and Deaks is in Liverpool so it's not as easy as it was to get together and rehearse. And I can't remember how to play a lot of those songs!
"People just miss it. We built such a community and the gigs were always a time where everybody got together. People miss the whole thing about it."
