A music fan from Morecambe has triumphed on the UK's most popular pop trivia radio quiz.
Robert Jones appeared on Popmaster with Ken Bruce on Wednesday and defeated his opponent to win a smart speaker and a 12 month subscription to Greatest Hits Radio Premium.
Robert, who is originally from Bootle in Liverpool, scored an excellent 30 points, answering seven questions out of 10 correctly.
He also correctly answered the bonus '3 in 10' round where contestants are asked to name three UK hits by a named artist within 10 seconds.
Robert's opponent, Brian Griffiths from Essex, scored 24 points on his questions.
During his appearance on the popular show, Robert praised the "nice views" of Morecambe and said he enjoyed going to gigs in the town.
He also gave a shout out to his family and friends, and staff at The Boardwalk and The Exchange pubs.
Popmaster, which celebrates its 25th anniversary this year, is a hugely popular weekday mornings music quiz now on Greatest Hits Radio, hosted by Ken Bruce.
The show moved from its regular slot on BBC Radio 2 earlier in 2023.
The first ever TV series of the show aired on the More4 channel a few weeks ago.
On the radio show, two contestants from around the UK go head-to-head, and are given 10 questions each, with three points available for correct answers, and six points for bonus rounds where they are asked questions based on a music clip.
