A singer and rock 'n' roll fan from Morecambe who has rubbed shoulders with the greats has released a new book on Elvis Presley.
Pete Blackburn's book 'All Shook Up: The Rise of Elvis Presley' covers the King's early career from the day he recorded his first song until his induction into the US Army.
It covers his early struggles on the road with his trusted musicians showing that he was no overnight sensation.
"During my research for this book I spoke to many people who knew Elvis or worked with him at the time including Scotty Moore, Jerry Lee Lewis, George Hamilton IV, Billy Walker and J.D.Sumner amongst others," said Pete.
"The book is available on Amazon now,and I will have some copies myself soon."

Pete has performed as a singer and guitarist, as well as a comedian and compere, all over the UK, under the stage name Pete Nelson.
He and his wife Marilyn used to run The View cafe on Morecambe prom before retiring last year.
The View cafe was famed for its rock 'n' roll memorabilia, collected by Pete during his decades of rubbing shoulders with some of the biggest names in showbiz, including Cliff Richard, The Shadows, Glen Campbell, Joe Brown, Johnny Cash, Duane Eddy, Jim Bowen, Marty Wilde and more.
