The Bay will return to film a fourth series in Morecambe, ITV has confirmed.
Filming will begin on the popular crime drama later this year.
The final episode of Series 3 aired on ITV1 on Wednesday night, as viewers learned who killed young boxer Saif Rahman, whose body was discovered in the Bay in episode 1.
"We are delighted that we will be returning to Morecambe for another series of The Bay," said Polly Hill, ITV's head of drama.
"Marsha Thomason delivered a brilliant performance as DS Jenn Townsend, and it will be exciting to see where (writer) Daragh (Carville) takes her character in series 4."
Actor Dan Ryan, who plays DI Tony Manning, tweeted:
"#TheBay Series 4 coming next year. Thanks so much for watching, we really wouldn’t happen if ya didn’t like it as much as ya do!"
