A sign has gone up announcing the opening of a new Morrisons Daily on a main road between Morecambe and Lancaster.
The sign at 411 Lancaster Road, near Torrisholme Square, say 'Your new Morrisons Daily - Opening Soon'.
Morrisons Daily is a franchise offering brand products from leading supermarket chain Morrisons to independent retailers.
There are currently more than 1,600 Morrisons Daily convenience stores across the UK and the Channel Islands.
Morrisons Daily stores sell groceries, fresh produce, and essentials.
The empty unit on Lancaster Road, near Torrisholme Square, has been used in the past for a decorating supplies store and a flooring and garden turf shop, but has been unoccupied for some time.
In August, we reported that International Mini Market Off Licence Ltd had applied to Lancaster City Council for a premises licence at 411 Lancaster Road.
This was for the supply of alcohol for consumption off the premises only, on Monday to Saturday (8am to midnight) and Sunday (9am to 11pm).
Pictured below, the unit at 411 Lancaster Road - Wednesday October 15 2025.

The application said: "The premises is a 1,650 sq ft retail unit with a dedicated customer car park.
"It is well-suited for an off-licence, with a clear internal layout for product display and customer service.
"All alcohol sales will be for off-site consumption only, and no area will be provided or used for on-site drinking.
"The premises is a standard retail unit operating as an off-licence only, with no provision for entertainment or services beyond the sale of general retail goods and alcohol for off-site consumption.
"The environment is family-friendly and staff are trained to operate under the Challenge 25 age verification policy to ensure the protection of children from harm."
