An 11-year-old musical theatre star from Morecambe will appear live on television tonight performing in the semi-finals of Britain's Got Talent.
Ethan Shimwell from Bare has joined the BoyCanto musical theatre group of schoolboys who will appear on the smash hit TV talent show watched by an audience of millions.
Ethan is a Year 6 pupil at Great Wood Primary School in Morecambe and also attends the Sophie's Academy of Musical Theatre in the town.
This will be his first appearance on Britain's Got Talent after joining the BoyCanto group earlier this year.
Ethan took part in open auditions to join the young performers, and beat hundreds of other boys from around the UK for a spot.
Last year Ethan was cast in a professional production of Billy Elliot, playing the role of Michael at a theatre in Leicester. He is pictured below with Sophie Butler, who runs Sophie's Academy of Musical Theatre.

Here is BoyCanto performing in the Britain's Got Talent heats earlier this year, before Ethan joined.
BoyCanto will line up in the fourth of five semi-finals live on ITV1 tonight at 8pm.
The show is hosted by Ant and Dec, and judges are Simon Cowell, Alesha Dixon, Amanda Holden and Bruno Tonioli.

The other contestants in BoyCanto's semi-final are Chickenshed, Duo Odyssey, Felix Clements, Kimoon Do, Malakai Bayoh, MB14 and Noodle.
A minimum of two acts will be voted through to the final - the winner via public vote, and the runner-up chosen by the judges from the second and third highest placed by the public.
The final will take place on Sunday June 4 at the Hammersmith Apollo in London.
The winners will receive £250,000 and a place on the bill at the 2023 Royal Variety Performance.
You can vote for Ethan and BoyCanto via the Britain's Got Talent website or app.
UPDATE: Sadly Ethan and BoyCanto were eliminated at the semi-final stage after the public vote.
