A new 'bobby on the beat' is on patrol in Lancaster city centre helping to make it a safe place for everyone.
PC Shaun Foster is the new Community Beat Manager for the police in Lancaster city centre.
PC Foster will be on regular patrol in the city centre and has asked people to come and say hello or contact him with any concerns.
"I have spent my career so far responding to 999 calls throughout Morecambe and Lancaster and I now look forward to ensuring the city centre is a nice place for everyone to enjoy," he said.
"I have an idea of the issues I believe need to be addressed in the city centre, however I am very open to people letting me know what their concerns are in the city centre, so please get in touch."
