The newly-elected MP for Morecambe & Lunesdale has arrived at Westminster to begin her new job.
Lizzi Collinge MP posted a photo of herself on Westminster Bridge with the Houses of Parliament in the background on Monday.
She said it had been "a heck of a day of inductions and training".
"Thank you all for your patience whilst I employ staff and set up an office," said Mrs Collinge.
"I can't wait to get stuck in with casework and constituency meetings but I beg a little leeway whilst I get the essentials in place."
Mrs Collinge arrived at Parliament on Monday for an induction day, as one of a record 335 new MPs.
The Labour MP was elected on Friday, defeating David Morris of the Conservatives who had been Morecambe & Lunesdale MP for 14 years.
Mrs Collinge is one of 412 Labour MPs, after Sir Keir Starmer's party won a landslide victory in the general election.
She also posted a photo to her official Facebook page of her travelling on the train to Westminster, accompanied by Markus Campbell-Savours, Labour MP for Penrith and Solway.

Mrs Collinge also said she'd been "overwhelmed by all your lovely messages and comments".
"Thank you so much. It might take a bit of time to set up my office so I appreciate your patience whilst I do so. I can't wait to get stuck in."
Mrs Collinge's Labour colleague Cat Smith was also elected on Friday, as MP for Lancaster & Wyre.
