A total of 9,000 tickets have been sold so far for the annual Lancaster 'Play in the Park' which gets under way tonight (July 22).
Audiences are clamouring to see 'The Jungle Book' in the leafy setting of Williamson Park.
Performances take place from tonight until August 28.
The first few nights are sold out and there is limited availability for the first two weeks, with each performance at a capacity of around 425.
So organisers The Dukes are encouraging people to get their tickets as soon as they can.
This year marks the 35th anniversary of the annual walkabout play which began in 1987.
Audiences follow the action around the park and this year will move from scene to scene to follow the antics of classic characters including Mowgli, Baloo the Bear and the menacing Shere Khan.
Beyond Radio has been talking to Jay Walton and Karl Fisher-Roe from The Dukes (pictured below) about this year's play:

The Dukes team have been preparing the park locations ready for tonight's first public performance, including the lake and the Ashton Memorial.

Jason Patel plays Mowgli, Helen Longworth stars as Baloo, Lisa Howard is Shere Khan, Purvi Parmar plays Akela and Pushpinder Chani is Bagheera.
The show is written by Andrew Pollard, directed by Sarah Punshon, and is full of catchy songs, wondrous characters and clever costumes.
Performances start at 7.15pm and take place every night during the run, except Mondays.
