A number of vehicles have been vandalised by having their number plates spray painted over in parts of south Lancaster.
Police received a number of reports of similar attacks on vehicles from residents in the Bowerham, Scotforth and Greaves areas of Lancaster.
There were a number of vehicles targeted overnight (August 3) around Coulston Road and Dorrington Road.
PC Simon Jones from the Lancaster NHP Team said: ‘’Please be vigilant and if you have any CCTV cameras please ensure they are in good working order to give us the best possible chance of finding who may be responsible.
