A Morecambe school is celebrating a milestone birthday with the help of staff who have been there since day one.
This year Westgate Primary School is marking its 30th anniversary with a series of celebratory events.
Three of the current school staff - Steph Edwards, Elaine Nutt and Debra Rogerson - have been at Westgate Primary since it first opened.
The school on Westgate opened in September 1991 and has decided to hold its 30th birthday celebrations in 2022 now Covid lockdown restrictions have been lifted.

Some of the upcoming events at the school include:
- The school summer fair, which takes place this Friday, June 17.
- A special Westgate Primary School commemorative bookmark and tea towel are being created to mark the anniversary.
- The week commencing July 4 will be a focus week on school life in the early 90s.
