Parking charges introduced at Half Moon Bay

You now have to pay to use the car park at Half Moon Bay in Heysham.

The car park underwent resurfacing earlier this year, and now charges have been introduced to recoup the cost.

Cash payments cannot be taken, due to the remote location of the car park, meaning tickets can only be purchased via card, or the RingGo app.

The charges are £1 for up to one hour and £2 for up to 24 hours.

The cost of parking will be used to fund the recent improvements made to the car park and any further ongoing maintenance.
