A person was injured in a single vehicle road traffic collision near Cowan Bridge this lunchtime.
Emergency services were called to Long Level at around 1pm today (October 31).
Two fire engines from Lancaster and Kirkby Lonsdale were called to the scene.
One casualty was assessed at the scene by Fire Service Trauma Technicians before being handed over to the care of North West Ambulance Service.
Firefighters used one hose reel and a paratech strut to extinguish the fire and cut the person out the vehicle.
Crew then worked with the Environment Agency and other partner agencies in a multi-agency response to the incident.
