Person taken to hospital after house fire in Lancaster

A person was taken to hospital after a house fire in Lancaster.

Two fire engines from Lancaster were called to Pinfold Lane in Skerton at 8.48pm on Monday.

A North West Ambulance spokesperson said that one patient was taken to hospital for further treatment.

A spokesperson for Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service said: "While in attendance, firefighters used four breathing apparatus, one hose reel, one thermal imaging camera, and one positive pressure ventilation unit to extinguish the fire.

"Firefighters were in attendance for approximately two hours and the cause of the fire is under investigation."
