Firefighters pumped water from a river across two fields to tackle a fire in a barn in Arkholme.
Crews from Lancaster, Morecambe, Silverdale, Carnforth, Hornby and Bolton-le-Sands were called to the incident on Monday.
A post on the Carnforth Fire Station Facebook page said they were called at 6.04pm.
"On arrival appliances were made up to six to aid in a water relay from the near by River Keer.
"At the height of the incident we had eight pumps at the incident.
"Our appliance was used to pump water from the River Keer across two fields (just over 30 lengths of hose) to the incident ground.
"Crews worked tirelessly to get the relay set up, with several LPPs (light portable pumps) placed to boost the water through the fields.
"Crews were relieved and we returned home station at around 1am ready for further calls."
A post on the Hornby Fire Station page said: "Hornby was also involved in collecting/running the Command Support Unit (CSU) - this was the ninth CSU incident of 2025!
"Hornby were released from the incident and arrived back at station at approximately 2am."
