New student blocks on the gateway into Lancaster city centre are coming together.
The development, known as The Sailworks, is being built on land near Bulk Road, Parliament Street and Caton Road.
Cheshire-based company Bridgestone Construction is leading the work on the site.
Planning permission was granted in November 2022 for up to 388 flats.
The application by Primus Property Group (PPG) Lancaster was for an eight-storey building and a six-storey building.
The eight-floor block is being built on the site of a former carpet store and warehouse, which were demolished to make way for the scheme.
The new complex will be opposite the Caton Court student village, which was built on Bulk Road in 2018.
Here are more photos of the development, taken on Tuesday January 14 2025.
