Plans have been revealed for three new flats above a Lancaster city centre men's clothes shop.
A planning application has gone in for a 'change of use' on 58 North Road.
This would allow three new flats to be developed on the first and second floor above the Dr Kruger shop.
The plans also ask permission for a separate door to access the new flats, but say the entrance to the shop would remain as it is.
There would also be minor changes to "update the current frontage onto North Road and provide a more attractive appearance", says a Design and Access statement submitted with the plans.
The full application is for a "change of use of shop with storage above (Class E) to mixed use unit comprising of ground floor commercial unit (Class E) with 3 flats above (C3), relocation of shop door, replacement windows to front elevation and reinstatement of windows/doors to rear elevation".
Independent men's fashion retailer Dr Kruger was established in 1989.
The property on North Road was built in the 1960s.
Lancaster City Council will decide whether to grant planning permission in due course.
