Police believe burglaries at a house and a Chinese takeaway in Lancaster are linked.
Det Insp Adie Knowles of Lancaster Police said they were looking for two suspects after the break-ins on the Ridge and Newton estates.
The first was a report of a break-in to a home on Elterwater Place, during April 28/29.
"The suspect has gone in through an insecure window and taken valuables - a TV, handbag, some money and some tobacco," said Det Insp Knowles, speaking on 'Beyond the Beat' on Beyond Radio on Tuesday.
He said there was a burglary at the Happy Dragon on Langdale Road that same night.
"They kicked the door in and went in looking for cash in the till but there wasn't any," said Det Insp Knowles.
"We are quite satisfied those two burglaries are linked.
"If anyone saw anything at around 3.30am on the Ridge and Newton estates in Lancaster, please let us know.
"We think there were two suspects dressed in dark clothing with faces covered."
Please call police on 101 or the free confidential Crimestoppers line on 0800 555111.
