Police are appealing for information after the theft of bikes used by a children's cycling club in Lancaster.
Bicycles used by youngsters at the Cog Set club based at Salt Ayre Leisure Centre were stolen, although police said some of the bikes had been found nearby.
"Local cycling club Cog Set recently had all their bikes stolen from near to Salt Ayre Leisure Centre and we are appealing to anyone who may have seen or heard anything," said a police spokesperson.
"The bikes are used by children and young people in the club and are crucial in giving them the opportunity to ride there.
"Fortunately some of the bikes have been found nearby so please keep your eyes peeled for others if you frequent that area."
Det Insp Adie Knowles of Lancaster Police, speaking about the incident on Beyond Radio on Tuesday, said "a large quantity" of bikes had been stolen of "some considerable value" and the theft took place overnight on Sunday-Monday.
Cog Set is a Go Ride Club welcoming riders from ages six to 18, aiming to provide a fun, inclusive and friendly environment for young people on their bikes.
